It starts with a conversation about what could be. Then we generate widely, develop the strongest idea and connect strategy, creativity and action to make it real.

ideation

/ˌʌɪdiˈeɪʃn/

The structured, creative process of generating, developing and communicating new ideas.

For me, ideation begins with conversation. We discuss the ambition, the problem and the possibilities; then I bring independent thinking, curiosity and creative challenge to the table. The aim is to uncover the connection others may have missed and develop an idea with the power to organise everything that follows.

The result might become a proposition, a name, a campaign platform, a product, a service or the central thought behind a brand. It does not end as a wall of workshop notes. The strongest idea leaves with direction, expression and a practical route into the world.

We do not stop at “that’s a good idea”. We give it form, direction and the momentum to become real.

From conversation to reality.

The process expands possibility before it reduces uncertainty. We open the thinking, find the idea with the greatest potential, then develop it far enough to move.

01

Discuss

We begin with the challenge, the ambition and the context. The first job is to understand what is really worth solving.

02

Diverge

We generate widely and resist judging too early—pushing past the obvious answer to uncover more distinctive possibilities.

03

Converge

We test, combine and narrow the thinking against audience, strategy, distinctiveness and what can genuinely work.

04

Make real

The chosen idea becomes a proposition, a creative route and a plan of action—then the right disciplines bring it to life.

Connected capabilities.

The central idea stays connected as the work moves between disciplines. These are the capabilities that most often strengthen this stage.

We begin by discussing the opportunity. We finish with an idea clear enough to build—and the creative direction to carry it into reality.
