Terms
Updated 29 September 2026
The rules for using this site. They are short because the site is simple: you read, you look, and if you like, you talk to me.
Who I am.
This site belongs to me, Alexio Ferrao, and I run it through my company, AFD Multimedia Limited. Where these terms say I, me or my, they mean the company.

These terms.
By using alexioferrao.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. How I handle your personal data is set out in the privacy policy. If we work together, that work is covered by a separate written agreement between us, not by these terms.
Using the site.
Browse, read, share links, and quote short passages with credit and a link back. Please do not:
- copy the site’s words, images, films or code in bulk, or present them as your own;
- scrape it with automated tools, or use it to train artificial intelligence, without my written permission;
- try to break into it, overload it, or use it to spread anything harmful;
- use it for anything unlawful, or pretend to be someone you are not.
I may block anyone who does.
What is mine, and what is not.
The words, images, films, visual effects and code on this site belong to me, or are used with permission. The brands, logos and work of my clients belong to them, and are shown here to illustrate work we did together. Nothing on the site gives you a licence to use any of it, except as these terms allow.
The notes.
The notes are my thinking, written for anyone who finds them useful. They are not professional advice for your situation, so please do not rely on them as if they were. Advice for your situation is what a conversation is for.
Comments.
You are welcome to comment on the notes. Keep it civil and on the subject. No spam or advertising, nothing unlawful, hateful or defamatory, and nothing that shares someone else’s personal details. I read every comment before it appears, and I may decline, shorten or remove any of them. You keep the rights to what you write, and you let me publish it here, with your name, for as long as the note is up.
Ideas you send me.
I treat what you tell me in an enquiry, a voice note or a message as private, and I do not share it without your agreement, beyond the tools that help me run things, which the privacy policy lists. I work with many people on many ideas, though, so I may already know of, or later work on, ideas like yours. Sending me an idea does not stop that, and it does not create an agreement between us.
Guides and downloads.
Anything I send you to download, such as a guide, is yours to use for yourself and within your own organisation. Please do not sell it, publish it or pass it off as your own. The copyright stays with me.
Email from me.
If you ask for the notes or a guide by email, I send what you asked for and nothing you did not. Every email has a link to stop them, and one click is enough. The privacy policy explains how that works.
Links to other sites.
When I link to another site, it is because I think it is worth your time. I do not control it, though, and I am not responsible for it.
If something goes wrong.
I work to keep the site accurate, available and safe, but it is provided as it is, and I cannot promise it will always be available, complete or free of errors. The site is free to use, so, as far as the law allows, I am not liable for any loss that comes from using it or relying on it. If you use it for business, that includes any loss of profit, revenue, data, opportunity or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. If you are a consumer, nothing here affects your legal rights.
Changes.
I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies when you use the site.
The law.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your own local courts.
Any questions about any of this: alexio@afd.net.
